I hope you'll bear with me and tolerate yet another post raving about my holiday in Bali. Don't worry, I'm only here for three weeks so it will be over soon. While I'm here, I'm lucky enough to have my very own personal tour guide organising my itinerary. He makes sure we have lots of fabulous day trips to all sorts of incredible places.
The tour guide is my Dad and he's been coming to Bali every winter for the last fifteen years. In that time he's made many friends, visited just about every place on the island and learnt to speak Bahasa Indonesia. I feel very blessed to have him as my Dad and am so thankful that he and Mum invited us to share their Bali holiday.
My oldest girl (13 already, eek!) wanted to visit the silver jewellery workshops in Celuk so Dad organised some other places for us to visit on the way. On the drive to Celuk he told us we were going past black sand beaches. Miss 9 got very excited so Dad spoke to Wayan our driver and organised a detour. I'm so glad he did.
The boom of the surf. The wind. The black sand. The surfers riding the waves. Incredible.
