there’s this thing
it happens in brilliant poems
where you’re listening
or reading the words
swept up in the imagery
of a slide curving and swerving
from the top of a treehouse
to the bottom
when suddenly
on the way down
the slide
turns into someone’s insides
and you’re running your fingers
along the walls of her womb
