I have been busy reading and judging all the wonderful entries for the inaugural Pocketry Prize for Unpublished Poets. Entries have come in from all around Australia. It's so exciting to see so many fine submissions from emerging poets.
Pocketry is the home of unheard voices and my aim is to publish emerging poets who are writing poetry but not being published in established journals or recognised in major competitions.
I know just how tough it is to send your work off to a competition and then wait, hopefully to hear the result. I only wish I could give everyone who entered a prize because they have all taken the brave step of putting their feelings into words and then shared them with someone else.
