Indrani Perera is a poet who explores themes of race, gender, identity and place through the use of narrative plainsong and extravagant metaphors.
She is obsessed with everything to do with books – from writing and editing, to designing, binding and making books.
Indrani always wanted to be a famous actor and loves getting up on stage to share her poetry.

Herstory
A poetry writing group for women.
Are you fed up with stories about men? Books filled with wars, conquests and empires? Write women back into the narrative, where they belong by exploring the feminine archetypes of crone, mother and maiden and exploring their roles in myth, fairytale and legend.
Learn the art of giving and receiving feedback in this clinic for poets. Bring along a poem you have written to share with the group and receive feedback on your work. Indrani will offer detailed suggestions on each poem and invite the group to offer their comments.
